Bloody Mary Marinara Sauce

November 30, 2018 by Dawn

Bloody Mary Marinara Sauce has all the favorite flavors of a Bloody Mary without all the crazy salt!

Bloody Mary Marinara Sauce

Spicy like an Italian Arribiata red sauce swapping out the red chili flakes with Tabasco for the heat. Sautéed celery, onion and parsley blended with tomato sauce. Finished with celery seed, pepper and a touch of salt make this a zingy surprise from any typical sauce!

Use it as a dip for meatballs, sauce on spaghetti squash, zoodles, noodles, casseroles, baked meats or fish.

The key ingredient in Bloody Mary mix has got to be the Tabasco. You can add just about anything into the cocktail be it bacon, celery sticks, pickled asparagus, horseradish, even a crab claw! For reals though, it’s GOT to be spicy with that special pepper that comes from one little island in Louisiana.

It’s a pantry staple -click on the bottle for a link!

Tomato sauces in general have a TON of salt, and so many have sugar too. Make Bloody Mary Marinara Sauce at home and you’ll know exactly what’s in it. Best part? It only takes 20 minutes to whip up a batch that makes 3 cups worth and it stays good fresh in the fridge for 4 days or you can freeze it.

Yaaas! It’s Paleo, Keto and Whole30

Really? Sugar in spaghetti sauce huh… yuppers.

It’s hidden in freaking everything. Start looking and you’ll see.

It may take some time in the aisle to scan through one brand by brand, sauce by sauce. It’s worth it when you find one that you love to have in your arsenal for those night I don’t want to futz with something from scratch.

If your not feeling the homemade vibe right now one of my favorites on the fly is RAO’S, the roasted garlic style, AND it’s Whole30 complaint. Options, it’s all about options.

I’m working on an awesome appetizer to go with this party pleasing dipping sauce – stay tuned for Baked Spicy Olive Stuffed Keto Meatballs with Bloody Mary Marinara Sauce!! Here’s a preview of what’s next.

If you have any Garlic Confit with Olive Oil in your pantry – use it instead of the fresh garlic and butter to change things up in the recipe.
