Blueberry Avocado Power Smoothie

July 11, 2018 by Dawn

Blueberry Avocado Power SmoothieThis deep purple Blueberry Avocado Power Smoothie is packed with super foods! Blueberries, avocado, baby chard, kale and spinach with hint of sweet raw honey. My favorite way to eat berries on their own is when they are fresh, ripe and chilled a little. Some are slightly sour but most are that subtle gorgeous sweet we all know and love. Blueberries have so many incredible health benefits, they are a small but mighty powerhouses.  They help alleviate inflammation, support digestion and boost brain health to name a few. {source}Blueberry Avocado Power SmoothieIf I’m wanting something pretty sweet I will go for honey, coconut sugar or maple syrup preferably. Natural sugars in apples and berries, even a couple dates are a nice layer of sweet as well. Processed white sugar and high fructose corn syrup are not a staple in my pantry anymore.

It’s interesting to me how much my palette has changed since saying goodbye to them. I am making a valiant effort to even reduce the alternative sweets more too. I can taste the sweet notes in tomatoes, squash, even broccoli….not kidding!Blueberry Avocado Power Smoothie
